THEME: Social Economy Programme
PROGRAMME TITLE: Social Economy Businesses
CURRENT STATUS: CLOSED
APPLICATION CLOSURE DATE: 30/06/2004

AIMS: Lisburn Partnership currently has a closed call available to support local social economy businesses. This call is only open to those businesses that have successfully completed the social economy business development programme and have a current business plan.

Closing date for applications is 30 June at 5pm.

Applicants should complete Part A application on the EU grants website, eugrant.co.uk as soon as possible.

Lisburn Partnership have commissioned a consortium lead by LEO and involving Workest and Initiative Economic development to help you through this process and support the development of your business. Measure 3.1 ↓

THEME: Community Well Being
PROGRAMME TITLE: Small Grants Programme
CURRENT STATUS: CLOSED
APPLICATION CLOSURE DATE: 07/05/2004

AIMS: To help those disadvantaged communities where infrastructure is weak and capacity is low.

This programme will allow Communities to develop strong groups and organisations to encourage development at local level in terms of participation, skills development, regeneration activity and job creation. It will ultimately facilitate Peace building. Actions such as training committee members in capacity building or fundraising skills, community relations work or mediation, are valid project ideas as are community surveys or feasibility studies.


NOTES: Different application process - download Small Grants application form and guidance notes. The Partnership will complete a Part A application on your behalf. Maximum total project cost, inclusive of VAT, is £10,000. Only groups with annual turnover of less than £50,000 are eligible.

Please note there is a maximum of £5,000 available for Community Audits.

Measure 3.2 ↓

THEME: Keeping Lisburn At Work
PROGRAMME TITLE: Support for the Unemployed
CURRENT STATUS: CLOSED
APPLICATION CLOSURE DATE: 31/12/2003

AIMS: Aim: Provide additional and innovative support structures to aid the unemployed, to gain real employment. This measure will support the development of a skilled workforce capable of seizing new job opportunities both locally and regionally. The focus should be on New TSN areas and disadvantaged groups.

This measure would welcome applications from organisations that have a track record of providing support to this sector. Various forms of Intermediary Labour Markets; or Labour Market Intermediaries can be supported.

Measure 3.1 ↓

THEME: Community Well Being
PROGRAMME TITLE: Capital Projects
CURRENT STATUS: CLOSED
APPLICATION CLOSURE DATE: 30/05/2003

AIMS: To support capital work, which meets the social and economic requirements of local communities by supporting local infrastructure.

This programme will provide costs for either refurbishment or contributing towards a new build for local community organisations. The focus of which will be to provide the potential for greater inward investment while increasing community pride. In keeping with the measure, preference will be given to social economy projects that can clearly demonstrate the added value of supporting either refurbishment or a new build. This is likely to be sustainability of the organisation and local community through any means of generating income.

NOTES: Maximum award is £100,000. Any bid in excess of £50,000 requires 50% match funding. An expression of interest form is needed to apply for this measure. For any capital support exceeding £25,000 Lisburn Partnership will put a mortgage on the item. The cost is £500 and should be included as an eligible project cost.

Measure 3.1 ↓

THEME: Community Well Being
PROGRAMME TITLE: Community Outreach Programme
CURRENT STATUS: CLOSED
APPLICATION CLOSURE DATE: 30/05/2003

AIMS: To focus on enhancing social inclusion in a sustainable manner by creating an integrated community infrastructure. This measure will focus on securing additional resources for local communities in Lisburn to support the growth/enhancement of an organisation or area and to become sustainable, post Peace II funding. Core costs will not be supported, only programme costs related to the programme outputs. The Partnership will also welcome applications to view first hand models of good practice, to sustain community development, both locally and nationally.

Within the aims of the programme the following actions could be funded:

- Community Development Officers. - Training for staff, committee members and other volunteers. - Volunteer Development Programmes. - Travel to establish networks and view good practice in community development. - Innovative actions to build capacity and secure additional resources for the sustainability of the organisation.

NOTES: All programmes supported under this measure must identify how their application to the Partnership will result in increased capacity, to make applications for funding to other funding bodies. A maximum of £2,500 will be available for group wishing to view models of good practice. The Partnership particularly welcomes applications from groups whose core aim is to work with disabled groups or women's groups as they were underrepresented in Peace I.

Measure 3.2 ↓

THEME: Next Generation
PROGRAMME TITLE: Youth Intervention
CURRENT STATUS: CLOSED
APPLICATION CLOSURE DATE: 30/05/2003

AIMS: To engage the most marginalised and socially excluded young people (13 to 18 year olds) to become active citizens in their local community. This should entail the delivery of citizenship programmes to enable young people to take an active role in and make a positive contribution to their communities.

The intervention will entail the promotion of innovative pilot initiatives to engage and encourage young people to address issues that are important to them and their community.

Preference will be given to organisations that seek to include youth who have become detached and are excluded from mainstream youth provision.
